What is TDEE?
TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) is the total number of calories you burn each day, including physical activity. It’s calculated by first determining your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate – calories burned at rest), then multiplying by an activity factor.
Activity Level Explanations:
- Sedentary: Little or no exercise (office job, mostly sitting)
- Lightly active: Light exercise 1-3 days/week
- Moderately active: Moderate exercise 3-5 days/week
- Very active: Hard exercise 6-7 days/week
- Extra active: Very hard exercise and physical job or training twice daily
